- Take repeated measurements of the same fixed object or space.
- Is your measuring device failing to repeat data?
- Has the device been badly handled or dropped?
- Does the device often become jammed or seized?
- Is the device too loose? Too much play indicates a low tolerance for accuracy.
- Is the device operating smoothly?
